Wonder why he had an argument with the coaching staff? Doesn't seem to have affected our opinion of his character, which we've suggested has been crucial this winter.

 

I’m sure there are minor disagreements like that at every club every week, and there’s likely even more in training we don’t see. The fact JFH picked him after he took over suggests it wasn’t worth worrying about.

Looking forward to seeing him play - he certainly looks good carrying the ball in those clips and we haven’t had anyone like that for a while.

 

Would appear that the minor disagreements would have been about failure to track back and do his defensive duties. If that is the case then I think Wood will have to up his game a little bit as I feel he has been a bit below par on occasions this season.

Sometimes a fit will not happen between player and club. I'm certainly excited about Vernham but it's certainly an area, we have been warned about, if on a Saturday afternoon he doesn't, do the basics of tracking back.

 

By the sound of it they have done a lot of work on transfers with analysts ( how times have changed) I am pretty sure his stats will show his strengths and weaknesses and taken into account. But getting back and helping out defenders is a big part of the modern game
