Don't really agree with this decision, but good luck to him. Always gave 100% and has improved. We must have others coming in tomorrow, so making room in the squad.

Just because he has been released doesn't mean he's s***e, the management are making room in the squad.

 

A shock to me too, can only think his wages where high compared to the sallery cap and as much as we have cover in his positions this is one I thought we would have sold or got a sell on fee but fare play to city, new player or two in tomoz

You thought Josh Wright was alright.

 

You know what would be good? If the waves for either DMH or French were used in offering improved deals to players like Wood and the younger lads like Scales.

Whether it was luck or not, the three midfield lads have come good and they're tied down. Even the lad Sutton who was written off because he came from Scunthorpe.

With Staunton and FCD on long term deals, we've got a core group of good young players at the club. Pretty refreshing.

 

Wood won't sign a new contract, he's on a wage above the salary cap, I wouldn't neither if I was him, let him play out his contract and he will sign a new one inline with the salary cap or he won't there's not much we can do about that, what I will say is he was the best of an underperforming group, surley he just looks average now? Rowe, novak, Sutton, Clarke, cook, FCD, Staunton, canavan, paudi, 2 of the keepers! Surley all as good or better than him? I wouldn't worry

 

I wish him well wherever he racks up.

 

Well got to be honest I didn't think he was up to much. Can't fault his effort but as far as ability goes I couldn't see it but good luck to him.
