I couldn't disagree anymore. What really drives players performance is confidence and form. You saw that last season where players who performed well in the first half lost form confidence and the pressure started. What you are implying is that the pressure is on from the start and you have to prove me wrong. How do we expect a young tricky winger to risk losing the ball by taking his man on when he will get booed and called sh&t. This is not me being happy clappy this is creating an atmosphere which is conducive to a successful football team and nurturing young footballers. You want skill, but you are at risk of creating a risk free, get rid style of football.That is why I will always have a go and complain about negative comments when unjustified as it achieves nothing and in fact is detrimental to the team I support. You have got the brunt of the argument which i do apologise but it could be a number of usual suspects

 

The important bit might be your 'negative comments when unjustified'. So providing people can justify their negative comments all is well.

If it affects them so much they should look for another job. You cannot expect to play football in front of 20k fans who are passionate about their club for them not to have an opinion. That's ludicrous. These players earn a weekly wage and live a life style most would dream of. Why should the little petals be entitled to all the privileges they have without receiving a bit of criticism every now and then? You can't take all the lucrative benefits of one job and not accept the downside. Criticism due to poor performances comes with the territory and every footballer knows this. Players can either live in an imaginary utopia where everyone is constantly happy, and they receive praise to no end regardless of whether it's justified, or they can be realistic. If I didn't want people to comment on my performances, I wouldn't be playing professional football.

 

I thought you were taking the piss out of his mental health, which is quite a serious issue Imo. Some things warrant a reaction, and some don't. Not rating a German amateur certainly isn't one of them.

Think it's more to do with the majority of your posts being negative Ricc, backed up with hearsay of he said she said. I don't frequent the board 24hrs a day but the posts I do see tend to be negative and give of a sense of actual hate of Rahic for some reason.


Thomas Isherwood, potential. People need to remember that we are bringing these kids in to develop, as long as we bring in an experienced head I don't mind this.
