Perhaps should have said: 'another lower league footballer signed from Germany, nothing to get excited about'.

Which is a bit less condescending. I'll give you my thoughts on this lad: I haven't got a fcking clue! Hope he does extremely well but I'd hardly be shocked if he doesn't. Not a lot more to say.

 

I wouldn't say he was a reserve or had 1st team experience. He played in 2 low key friendlies against Sunday league sides

Fine to me, he’s an unknown from the lower leagues in Germany and, given our illustrious chairman’s previous signings from German lower league clubs, is likely to be nothing to be excited about.

What are you supposed to do, dance around like we’ve just signed two centre halves from the German World Cup squad? Anyone with half a brain can see there’s not a lot to be positive about City at the moment. Isherwood is an unknown and Riley is a long standing target but Wright and the lad from Barnsley are hardly signings that are going to see us seriously threatening the play offs. The least said about the failing head coach search the better, and nobody can say a six week search was in Edin’s plan, he’s struggling to find someone for certain.

He's not wrong though. All new signings deserve a chance. But on the basis of our quality gauge from German imports so far, there's little to think this will necessarily be different

 

I’m ashamed to be a city fan at present we seem to have a fan base that writes off every player signed actually the majority are negative about anything the club do

Look up the definition of support ffs I can only surmise that most haven’t seen the clubs struggles in bygone years

I haven’t read anybody going overboard with the signings made so far. We’ve brought in players who on paper might be good signings. They appear to have strengthened the squad which can only be a good thing. We can only hope we sign some quality and manage to offload some of the deadwood remaining.

Agree with you about the head coach recruitment though.
