    I'm really interested to know.

Surely a team like us has been top at Christmas more than once in our history.

Well, I’m in Tier 4 , just like City. Hoping for progressivism. Everything will be ok in the end; if it’s not ok, it’s not the end. Onwards and upwards - Merry Christmas to all.

    Happy Christmas all.

What a miserable year it has been to be a Bantam, but roll on 2021! The recent results have certainly raised spirits for the festive period!

I know it's Christmas but every single one of them teams in that picture below us are now above us in a higher league(Some two).

Merry Christmas to handling the truth!

Tomorrow marks the 80th anniversary of perhaps the strangest football day in Bradford City's history.

On 25 December 1940 City lost 0-5 at home to Huddersfield Town. Nothing too strange in that you might think.

However, later that very same day, City travelled to Huddersfield, for the return fixture, and won 4-3.

Eight City players played in both matches, but it was one of the changes City made, in the second match, that adds to this strange day. Bradford City fan Len Shackleton, having turned out for Bradford Park Avenue in the morning, turned out for City in that second match, scoring one of City's 4 goals.

To add to the strange statistics, Huddersfield Town player, Billy Price scored 3 of Huddersfield Town's goals that day without, of course, being able to claim a hat trick.

And we think playing two games a week is tough.

Didn’t Billy Price score a hatrick for us in our biggest FA Cup win?

It's been a topsy-turvy year, so why not have rain here since about midnight? The frozen north indeed! Currently it's just dull and dreary, but 15-20cm of snow, perhaps mixed with ice pellets, is forecast to begin soon. Bah, humbug!

Nonetheless, Merry Christmas to one and all, and may Santa bring us a good new manager, all the points we need, and a return to progressivism.

We've had a few Prices, but never a Billy. Deakin and Bartholomew had 4 each in that 11-3 win against Walker Celtic.

My dad’s favourite player was Len Shackleton and a park Avenue fan in those days ;)

Good news he had a soft spot for city and supported them ever since I was a kid.

He was the only Stan on both sides of my family who ever supported Park Avenue,we always have been City fans since the beginning of our club I found out ;)

    Happy Christmas everyone.

    This says different https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Price_(footballer,_born_1917)

Sure he scored a hatrick against Fleetwood in the FA Cup remember it from a programme a couple of years ago.

Merry Christmas to all fellow Bantams. Lets hope 2021 brings more joy on and off the pitch than this year.

I believe he scored a couple of hatricks for us in the 3 or so years he was at City, one was, as you say, in the 9-0 win over Fleetwood in the FA Cup in 1949. He also got all three in City's 3-0 win over New Brighton in 1950.

Yes, you're right. He scores three and has to see a teammate bag four! I have him in my files as Albert J.W. Price and so didn't make the connexion. A decent record for him, scoring almost one every other match on either side of WWII.
