Whoever gets the job, and i can not decide who i would like. We all need to get behind them and the team and not say they are all shite , when the inevitable defeats come along, Tranmere wont be easy .The short cummings of this squad are well know to all.
Its going to be a bumpy ride to safety. Which i am sure we will achieve, lets hope sooner rather than later.
Merry Christmas to all bantams worldwide.

Guthrie did it once, it was good but that's the only time he's done anything like that since he joined us.

Which is why I'm saying Stuart didn't seem to get the best out of the players he had at his disposal. Maybe it's a confidence thing. Paudie also seems to have stepped up to the plate too. As has Sutton. Stuart has worked with all these players, albeit in some cases, only jntermittently, but the stark contrast in just a few games is very eye opening.

The one way to identify a bad “boss” is to see how decisive he is.
A boss that dithers will never be able to gain respect as he will sway one way or the other depending on the last thing that happened
Having sacked McCall Sparks should have had a pretty good idea who he wanted as a replacement
Obviously his first choice may give back word but by then a number of similar CV’s would have come in making a choice reasonably simple.
To stick with a temporary choice who was not even considered as being a permanent choice just because of a couple of good results is dithering of the worst sort
When Richmond appointed Kamala and Jewell internally he had decided to give them the job before he sacked the incumbent
The Terry Dolan appointment was a bit different but I think I could have got the team Trevor Cherry had put together promoted (and in the end Dolan failed to do this)
Ken Morrison once told me that one of the reasons he resigned as a director of City in the Bob Martin days was that the board meetings only ever focussed on the previous match
If City had won the discussion was whether or not to give the manager a longer contract and if they had lost it went to the vote as whether or not to sack him (he never told me what they talked about after a draw)
In those days City were as unsuccessful as now and as in those days we cannot decide whether to give Trueman and Sellars a contract (we have after all won two games on the trot) or whether to sack them (wait until our next defeat)

It was definitely Sutton.....and like yourself I was half expecting the ref to blow for a foul. We have already seen several great tackles awarded fouls this season

The bit about Terry Dolan and you could have revived City is nonsense. We were bottom of the league when Cherry was sacked and team spirit was at rock bottom after Yorath left as coach. Dolan did magnificent job, brought in Mitchell and Futcher and changed the defence which was leaking goals to a sweeper system. He got them to 10th in the league and the following season played outstanding football and would have gone up automatically but for Hendrie suspension in last game and failure to strengthen a small squad by the board. Even McCall once stated in city gent that the team would have gone down had Cherry not been replaced by Dolan. Merry Christmas by the way.

I said something the other day like that. All of a sudden Paudie looks about 3 inch taller. You probably right about confidence being a big part of it

Apparently we are to expect an announcement on Sunday. 2 1/2 year deal for Hurst.

Yes you're bang right, Dolan wanted to bring in Keith Curle and Andy Townsend but was only allowed to bring in Micky Kennedy from Portsmouth, who picked up a back injury and was even struggling to even take his trademark long throws.

What's the delay?. A couple of posters were so sure that he would be signing Monday and then Wednesday and now Sunday?.

Believe it's Hurst's agent where the problem lies with negotiations :p

Surely Grimsby stand a better chance of getting him if that's the case?

The 10kg of crab stick bonus for keeping us up has ‘sealed’ the deal.

I am still not convinced that it is a done deal for Hurst yet. Bookies are still willing to accept bets on Hurst.

Alan Nixon was saying yesterday that he understood we are still undecided

No idea. This is the first I've heard of any announcement.
