Radio Leeds reiterating that as far as they are aware, somebody possibly waiting in the wings, but the club have not yet made their final decision, so maybe it was invisible ink mate?

A lot of teams have a 'bounce' when they get rid of a manager, it's very often down to the fact it's just new and different.

They're doing good but let's not kid ourselves, these guys are inexperienced novices, and we've been burnt very recently going down this route.

We have also done very well going down this route, Jewell, Kamara and Dolan spring to mind

Hurst odds lengthened slightly, although still odds on, and Trueman's shortened since kick off tonight. The bookies still not convinced Hurst nailed on

If we are all honest we shouldn't have been in the bottom 2 and McCall was making a mess of things.

It's great what Trueman is doing but the changes are not that difficult.

To have a novice CEO and a novice manager is very, very risky long term. WE'VE BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD!

To counter that mate, going down the experienced route with Rhodes and McCall was a massive failure

Far less risky to go with a novice when you are struggling in league one than it is in league two.

Mate, Rhodes was just a massive failure.

    McCall was a disappointment.

Tough decision for Sparks now, does he appoint Trueman until end of season or bring in someone like Hurst. It’s a risk either way, tough game at Tranmere on Boxing Day and if Hurst is appointed tomorrow and we lose to Tranmere then he’s under immediate pressure. Appoint Trueman and suddenly it’s the cheap option the fans will say and if we go on a losing run all hell breaks loose. I don’t envy Ryan Sparks.

It’s gonna be Trueman and Sellars at least until the end of the season.

I’ve had my disagreements already on here when people suggested it after the weekend and still don’t agree long term but it wouldn’t be City if we didn’t go that route.

it’s a honeymoon period now and we have some points on the board to be safe enough for now but it’s a long old season. I’d worry if they were made permanent but can’t knock the job they have done as caretakers

These results were a million miles away under McCall. 4 at the back was pretty obvious to me but Trueman is doing outstanding.

They've done a fantastic job in a short amount of time, no question. But how many times have we seen, across the country, a caretaker being given the job permanently on the back of a few results and then a few months down the line its all gone tits up. We can't risk that, nor can we risk two unknown coaches leading our January window. And if it does go wrong, it'll damage their careers like it did Collins and we don't want that, because they're clearly talented coaches and an asset to the football club.

Jewell, Kamara and Dolan all had plenty of first team experience with the club. It's a completely different scenario with these two.

Tricky decision for Sparks isnt it. I think your suggestion of extending their caretaker role until the summer is probably a good idea.

Maybe Sparks is contemplating Hurst and promoting Trueman and Sellars to work closely under him, maybe this is why there has been a delay in appointing Hurst, who will surely want his own coaching team.

It is going to be interesting to see how this pans out over the next few days

Do these lads know enough about leagues one and two and who would be available we could sign not sure they do and that's a big risk IMO, now if there is to be a recruitment guy coming in with knowledge of the lower leagues I could understand the calls for these two to get the job, Trueman & Sellars need to identify where we need improving and the recruitment guy gives them names of players to chose from although time is tight, big call for Ryan.
