Agree. Before he signed for us he had a great fitness record over the previous 2 seasons at AFC Wimbledon and it's a pity he's picked up a tricky injury with us.

No he is not as good as Cullen especially from a ball retention point of view but no way is he a bad footballer. He had a very good game against us at their place last season when we beat them 3-2 and showed up pretty well for us before his injury caught up with him.

He should not be written off.

He's a below standard league 1 player hence why he's mostly played lower league 1 football.

every single club in the division has at least 5 or 6 players the same standard as Jakes Reeves. There's nothing wrong with keeping him in the team but we are going to need genuine quality around him if we want promotion.

 

Exactly. If City could field 11 quality players every match, we'd be in the PL, not League 1.
As it is, we have more like 11 average players, and we all agree - Quality costs.

 

You don't need 11 quality players to compete/ get promoted from this division. Basically what this team is missing is Cullen
Marshall, Meredith and Mcardle. That's 4 good quality, consistent performers who will make a huge difference to the current team.

 

Cullen - Prefer Guy
Marshall - Excellent for us but not performing at Charlton
Meredith - yes, ok
Mcardle - maybe McGowan would do better for us when fit
