No disrespect to him but I hope we sign someone ready made up front when the new manager comes in and he’s surplus to requirements. He’s not ready. Should never have been signed to play so many games but here we are

 

Sometimes circumstance dictates that a player doesn't always fill his potential when on loan. Take Omari Patrick for instance, (yes i know he wasn't a loan player) been watching his progress at Carlisle under another set up and the lad has shown there is a half decent player there. Remember Ollie Burke now at Sheffield Utd? To be fair, Samuels has missed a few good chances but the shitshow odf Bradford City hasn't helped him. Brought here as the last piece of the jigsaw (well chosen words eh?) when he is a player very much finding his feet in professional football.

 

We’ll have to see, this year is certainly unique with Covid. But only our more injury prone players like Clarke and Ismail keep getting regular knocks like him.

 

L**ds probably think we aren't managing him very well.
Been injured and bringing him back too soon and he's
out again. Loaning young players to a lower league club
that is struggling like we are won't be attractive to loan clubs.

 

They still haven't beaten us since 2011.

 

They've had two or three good seasons but were a complete basket case for a decade and a half before that and could easily go back if Bielsa leaves (or they don;t stay up this season)

 

I think Omari has benefited from having a clear role. Striker, not wide attacker, specifically asked to pressure and close down with his pace and play on the shoulder.

At City, his role was muddled and didn't play to specific strengths. For what it's worth, I think he's another athlete who isn't very skilled. But he can do a job.

 

The most damning thing about our current plight is that Omari would be an improvement on what we currently have.

 

We would have benefited from him, no question, unless McCall played him in midfield.

Which, thinking about it, was pretty possible... Maybe even wing back under Stuart
