January - date of our first signing?

With the way we are going at the minute we need new signings as nearer to the 1st as possible but knowing how we have done over the last few windows we'll probably get our 1st signing on 1st February.

 

We will blame Brexit and the price of tomatoes.....

 

2 on loan youngsters we have never heard of on 27th, results dont improve, McCall walks first week of February leaving the new manager with his rubbish squad.

 

I can’t wait for the anticipation of them little videos they do where you don't find out who it is until the very end....so a minute of watching an out of focus player pulling the shirt on, doing some keepy-ups, spinning the ball on his finger and “getting ready for battle” before the camera moves into focus to reveal who it is.

it’s at that point the excitement evaporates as you confusingly look at the screen and think “who the fecks that?”

 

When do we play Oldham again ? If its our first February match then I'm saying we sign three useless lumps on 31st January, lose to Oldham then sack McCall.

I believe we are well down the route of signing our targets all contracts prepared and ready to sign on the 1st hit the ground running for our mid table push

Change the words in that song from “the Christmas we get we deserve” to “the football season we get we deserve”.

I’m sure somebody creative on here could rewrite the whole lyrics to describe our summer recruitment

 

I actually think the first signing will be made in time for our game against Scunthorpe on the 9th of January. People can grow bold through desperation, we don't have the luxury of time so I think there will be some frenetic activity.

When will the first player leave in January? We need a few out as well as in.

I knownn be it’s obvious but it’s a huge window, not just for getting us out of the crap. It’s a chance for Sparks to show he’s capable, a more capable window will get him faith among the support. Can he, the new manager and recruitment manager organise a well run window? I’d say Sparks’ reputation at this club depends on it.
