I hope that comment is correct @andyc as I can see Bradford staying in tier 3 and fans not being allowed in, and then the club just allowing the original fans to attend the Morecombe game or which ever becomes the first home game for fans to be allowed to attend.

I remember my late Dad talking about turning up to matches during our miserable re-election seasons in the 1960s and the expectation of...nothing. Perhaps the chance of the odd point. And how grindingly depressing that became as a lifelong City fan. History repeats itself.

 

I presume that any one that has got tickets for next sat, if we stay in teir 3 , will get admission to the next game in the relevant category, but with city's organisation, who knows.

Again, he's overly positive/optimistic. Could easily have said we would have ideally liked a couple more but he out himself in a corner with his small squad and final piece of the jigsaw comments. Silly from him.

I think he was inferring that he wasn't happy with the recruitment and he wanted to do more but couldn't. Some of that was him wanting players out but they couldn't manage - BUT they could have paid off some contacts BEFORE the salary cap kicked in

Then again he said something about players salaries and how he was looking at the hundreds and thousands or something. I didn't hear it well but it sounded like we were being very strict with budgets and salaries and being very carful and I interpreted his words as he wanted to pay more to some targets but wasn't allowed (not sure if he didn't understand the economics of the cap or the club stopped shirt of paying high wages). It's hard to know what is actually true because he's always so optimistic and positive but clearly he finally blurted out some stuff today and perhaps IF we have space in the cap and IF he wanted a small squad then perhaps he was hoping for better quality of player within the small squad but the club said no? All conjecture.

Either way he could have a Squier or a Gibson, he still can't get a bloody tune out of it and the problem ain't the plectrum.

 

The guy before him asked some good hypothetical questions, one which I also hadn’t considered, “what if the season doesn’t finish”? - granted it’s unlikely, but at the same time who knows right now?

McCall was so sure we will get reinforcements in Jan and for him, if he’s here, I damn well hope they work. He sounded flustered and emotional in the interview. The last game i went to at Crawley I thought it was one of the worst performances I’d ever seen of City. That’s been beaten since then and we’ll have to be worlds better this coming Tuesday to stand a chance of getting anything
