It was difficult time, but yes the recruitment could have been better. I inherited 16 - some of them wanted out, but we couldn’t get them out. We tried to sign four strikers but none of them would. Recruitment over summer, take on the chin. Vaughan was never going to stay. Nothing could have been done. If City finish third bottom
be a success, that’s where we are at. We should have brought some more players in. But, could not have foreseen all the injuries. Three players back next week. Clayton missed some really good chances. We didn’t take our chances and didn’t defend. We need numbers and quality in January. We need a wide man, a forward, dominant midfielder and left sided centre half. Probably some more. Defending needs real work on it. We were decent to good doing forward. National League is not realistic. We will attract players to Bradford City. Asked are the players behind you? Stuart says come down on Monday and you can ask 20 of them. They didn’t collapse at 2-0. Judge me after January window. We needed to be better in both boxes.

I don’t know why anyone is surprised anymore.Its the same interview every week.Today was particularly embarrassing as he genuinely thinks the players are with him.1 million per cent apparently.Credit to the interviewer as he didn’t back down when he got aggressive.Really don’t know what to make of it.

Whoever this Luke was he just liked the sound of his own voice and took up too much time - the interview with Stuart was far more to the point and no question was left unasked or answer shirked, was dynamite - from 3 new players we now need 5 or 6, and man is Stuart hurting (to me he sounded very emotional) For the first time publicly he said in the last transfer window 'we got it wrong'

I didn't listen to the interview and judging by some of the comments I'm glad.
Make no mistake, there is so much wrong with the club right now and it goes way beyond the manager, but Stuart has to go now for the sake of his own wellbeing.

 

With around 5 more games to the January window we are seriously risking getting detached.We all hope that 6 or 7 additions will be our salvation..but there is no guarantee and as already noted, we missed out on bringing in 4 of the fans' faves in Summer as they chose other Clubs and yet 'There will be no problem bringing players into this Club come January' I personally tyre of the aggressive replies to questions re our poor and continuing form by Stuart. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is direct and honest, but does this help squad morale. If you put your arm round a player too much it has to be difficult to detach yourself when the need arises. Confusion can split the dressing room.
