Obviously that is your opinion, how long would it have taken to advertise the job interview each applicant and then make the call, any chance of keeping us in a play off place would be well gone, as it turns out it would not have saved last season Covid saw to that but I believe the reasons Stuart was appointed were for the right reasons, but again only my opinion I'm not privileged to know the ins and outs at Valley Parade, not sure you are either ?.

If McCall wasn't happy about the budget/signings we'd have known about it. Maybe not directly but, like last time, we'd have had his mates writing columns in the T&A or making comments to the media saying so.

not long.. most clubs do it over a week or so and already have a list of managers they want to target in case they have to replace the current incumbent. i've got a few ears on the ground yeh. maybe i'll do a tell all at some point.

I'm well aware of the pandemic putting people and companies of all shapes and sizes in financial difficulties and the advent of the salary cap. I've not been living on the dark side of the moon in 2020.

But when players like James Vaughan are replaced by the likes of Lee Novak. I bet that there's a considerable difference in yearly salary between the two.

The club may have taken a hit in the amount of season tickets sold post relegation from League One. But there's no denying that the quality of the players have decreased season after season since the loss at Wembley. They're not underperforming because they're a bunch of quality players that can't perform as a team. They're down where they are in the league on merit, because they're objectively the poorest City team in a very long time.

The club informed us that whilst things aren't great financially, we're not one of the club's that could struggle to finish the season without supporters being allowed to attend. So something doesn't quite add up to me.

I could understand such a poor City team if the club was absolutely on its uppers and what we saw on the pitch plus the size and consistency of the squad was all we could afford. It just doesn't make complete sense if everything we've been told is totally honest and accurate. If they went out and tried to create a squad that would struggle this season by design, I don't think they could've done much better.

Rupp can't be bothered. If he was he'd be over here lining up a replacment. We'd still attract a lot of interest of capable candidates.

Why anyone would trust McCall with another transfer window, which could be our last as a football league side, baffles me.

Say a little prayer for Oli McBurnie for that! The £3mill we received from his sell-on has come in mightily handy under the circumstances.

we all said in the summer that McCall needed some sort of media training as what he was saying was completely contradictory to what the club and himself were saying just a few days earlier. look at the last week; he says a centre-half is the priority after Reece Staunton's injury, Parker puts it out all over twitter and then yesterday when questioned he says he doesn't need a centre-half as he has 5. the man is quickly becoming a liability to the football club.

i think we'd attract people at the right price. what he is currently asking for is nowhere near to what anyone of sound mind would be willing to pay for it.

If you listened to the interview he said we didn't need a centre half at the time Carlisle signed free agent Rhys Bennett.

i bet you can't. you'd still be in his corner no matter what you heard that it'd be wasted on the happy clappers.

I think you're being very hopeful there!

But I hope you're right 'cos in the NL set-up, every little will help.

Not sure Rupp needs to be over here, we've seen what can be done with regards Zoom video conferencing etc, plus there is the Covid virus to contend with would he have to isolate every time he entered and left each country.

but we did. we were shipping goals left, right and centre. it was a weak point for us and a clear area that needed improvement.. if we were keeping clean sheets i would have agreed with him.

When dealing with idiots it’s important to make the message as simple as possible. It’s as clear as day to me that whatever McCall is doing in training, isn’t clear enough for them to understand, chopping and changing formations on a weekly basis certainly won’t help. Does he actually practice throwing his centre halves up front or is that a knee jerk reaction as if we’re in a cup game.
It’s a complete cluster f&£k and embarrassing. There should be a system that’s well drilled so everyone knows their role whenever they fill in. McCall is the only manager I hear talking about “matching up” or what formation he went with. Do you ever hear that from the top managers?
