With a squad like ours you can’t lose players like Hosannah, the guy is quality and tbh French is not.

 

People keep saying its an improved performance, it isnt hard to improve on the shit thats been served up for most of the season. Were still utterly useless all over the park and been lead only one way by a clueless manager.

The mismanagement of pre-season is the major reason why I am struggling to have any sympathy for McCall at the moment, nobody can craft a narrative where Rupp just screwed it all up, McCall is just as culpable. He wanted a small squad, he wasn't worried about signing a replacement for Vaughan, he wasn't worried about the lack of a recognised right back, everything was fine, everything would fall into place according to McCall.

Unless we sack McCall which of course we won’t, we go down, no ifs or buts. It’s his time at Scunthorpe all over again when laughingly his camp followers from Width of a post said it wasn’t his fault as he was sacked with six games to go.

Yes if you have a guy like Tozer in your side who can cause problems with a simple tactic like a throw in then you would be stupid not to use it, I believe pre-match someone mentioned they had scored 4 so far from Tozer's long throws, that makes it 5 after tonight.

We pressed well for 40 minutes but apart from that i didnt see a huge improvement. Cheltenham were sloppy first half and i dont think they expected our high press. Their quality was more apparent second half.
We play too many sloppy passes. Watt is awful for it. Cooke apart from the cross for the goal drifts in and out of games too much.
The 3 centre backs are pretty much useless. DMH shouldn't be in the football league.
I can't see even with players coming back from injury where the chances are going to be created. Would Novak had anything to feed off tonight? Unlikely. We seriously need players through the door and quickly. We're two points from the bottom 2. Something has to happen and pronto.

So passing around the back 4 to midfield and back to the back 4 is dominating a team?

Two players stood out tonight, Elliot Watt and Tyler French need to learn how to pass a ball. To many sloppy passes giving away possession which allows the opposition to pressure us into mistakes. We can’t continue giving the ball away cheaply.
