Interesting that in his interview with Jamie Raynor it was Ryan himself who said he asked for the appointment to be announced at this time - I also agree with you that this idea of 'proven track records' is no guarantee of anything, particularly in these unique times

Hey up Fordy. You really do need to lose this obsession you have with training at a school. Yes our own training ground would be fantastic, but its not a realistic short term objective. The facilities as they are are good. Better to spend on the quality of training, recruitment etc....

Very true, although I suspect there is a sense of regret at missing out on a better forward.

 

Because there was another narrative going on which amounted to deceit of the supporters on a grand scale. All four of the main protagonists, Rupp, Rhodes, Sparks and McCall, were involved. I could write the story but it would be a very long post.

As i think Dennis suggest, this is actually not that big a gig in the grand scheme of things and CEO terms ‘financially’, although the challenges to keep us in profit and keep the paying punters (us lot) onside might be. Sparks has a great advantage to address that from his existing time here.

You hear successful people talk a out how they surround themselves with ‘good people’ and why wouldn't Sparks do that he would be a fool not to (that could even include input from Rugby people on salary caps? Who knows) , he spoke about having a lot of contacts to call on, it was always going to be a learning curve for anyone appointed to the role.
