Hi WW. The budget and the salary cap are 2 separate things. The impression given by Stuart's activity in the transfer market is that maybe our budget is less than the salary cap.

 

Agree but there is NO difference if the budget IS the cap

So, many of us said sack McCall or let him left at the end of this contract the end of the season but what do we do give McCall another year.

I wonder how much we are paying Rhodes for a consultancy fee because it will be him pulling the strings not Sparks.

I'm not looking for an argument, just seems strange that with a paper thin squad, injuries and plumetting down the league, Stuart doesn't see the need to use some of that budget if it exists

 

Yes I know. So why hasn't he used it. if it's because he's saving it for January, come January he now needs to spend to attempt to avoid relegation, rather than push for promotion. I just don't get it

18,000 season ticket holders to appointing the bloke that runs the Twitter to CEO. Has anyone provided any evidence that this is going to turn us around and have us going in the right direction. Has any club fallen to these lows as quickly as we have? Bradford City deserves to be in the position it is in. Shambles of a club from top to bottom.

I understand the frustrations with regards this appointment - and I share them. Once again there was a glimmer of an opportunity for something different with Jenkins - and once again it's wound up as wishful thinking.

But what can we do now? As you say, people who get big opportunities can confound all expectations. Let's hope so.

His first action to extend Stuart's contract does not seem to be a smart action. He hasn't earned it meritocratically, unless the objective was a squad that's cheap as chips and league success is irrelevant. I can only imagine Stuart won't be taking compo if we decide he has to go...

But whether we survive the season or not will not now be influenced by Ryan. He's played his hand early, and we now hope to limp to the finish line. Stuart doesn't want to strengthen enough to ACTUALLY strengthen, his squad is dire, and performances are weak overall.

Unfortunately this appointment and the contract extension offer no hope for the rear of this bleak season. Perhaps the negativity is relatable? It's not personal to Ryan, we just wanted someone to lift this club up.

 

Interesting appointment and let's see what ideas and plans Ryan brings to the table before slagging him off. Reading some of the comments on here you would think the suicide rate will rocket up tonight.

I would like to see a DoF to help Stuart and Kenny with recruitment.

Also a dedicated fitness coach and a defensive coach-even part time would be a start.

The extension of Stuarts contract effectively gives him at least 3 transfer windows to build his team.

I know DMH was a terrible signing but lots of managers sign duff players, so let's not think this is purely a Bradford City problem.

Over to Ryan now to drag this club up off its knees and start some sort of upward movement.

The club needs the extra resources behind the scenes to allow it to function properly. Let's hope Ryan agrees and sanctions some appointments.
