I don’t need to say. It’s obvious.

For the first time since administration in 2004 I have serious concerns about where the club is heading.

On a happier note there is real interest in the club. I can only hope it matures into something.

 

Does that mean you are hearing Sparks? Come on, we can take it!

 

Nah, Lenny or Charlie would be ideal candidates for the job whichever one it is..

 

I said Sparks on here a few weeks ago and was told it wasn’t. Your source good?

Oh dear. Sparks hasn't even been any good at his day job over the last few weeks. The communication has been non-existent

Out of interest why dont people want Sparks? what kind of name are they expecting at at bottom half league 2 club. Im not a huge fan of his but no one on here knows if hes qualified for the job.

 

Cant get anyone else outside of the club interested i guess.

We are currently a bottom half league 2 club because of poor management from the top for the last 3 years minimum. Don’t kid yourself it’s a good appointment because we are lower down in league 2. We are here through mismanagement from people who don’t know football.

If he was appointed with an interested owner who was close to the club and we were on the up I could see the appeal. Currently no. It’s the wrong time and I hope it doesn’t end in tears but I fear it will

Whoever it is, anyone still clinging onto the wild and way off rumours of Jenkins being linked will be disappointed I presume. Jenkins was always a non runner, why would someone with his experience of being the top man at Swansea, come up here and work for an owner with no interest in football

 

My source is the same as what the usual in the know suspects who run websites / blogs about the club. They will be out in force when the news breaks as saying they’ve known for weeks, which to be fair they probably have. There have always been leaking taps at city, you just need to know someone they love to talk to. Let’s put it this way, the same source told me that Rahic had gone about 2 weeks before anything official came out. Also that Hopkins and Bowyer had gone prior to them actually going officially.

I was told that Jenkins was in talks to become CEO and was going to be tasked with finding a buyer or potentially leading his own consortium. There was annoyance that the news broke in the press and across social media.

Its all gone very quiet since. I don’t think that is a bad thing and doesn’t necessarily mean that’s it’s a dead. Perhaps the contrary.

There are other interested parties and Stefan Rupp is very open to selling the club. If the right offer comes in make no bones about it, he’ll be out like a shot and I don’t blame him. He still however feels a moral duty to keep the club competitive. Money is there for January.
