On the bench tonight v AFC Wimbledon I see....so any truth in rumours about him going to Charlton on loan? If not, send him up M1, M62 and M606 to Bradford, would love him back here....

 

He has now signed for Charlton

Re joined Charlton

 

Cullen struggled at Bolton, so will see how he gets on at this level again for Charlton. If he bombs again then he will probably be sold to a top end L1 side next summer.

 

He'll do fine this year, absolutely fine. he'll be playing Premier League football in the next year or so.

 

Apparently signing for Anderlecht today according to the beebs gossip column.

 

Official, best of luck to him. Shame him and Burke didn’t make it at West Ham but it’s a good move for him, hopefully he’s a regular and does well and gets a move back over.

 

Came on for Ireland tonight and improved a dire midfield instantly.

This 0-0 against Bulgaria was league two level aside from the decent pitch and the odd decent pass.

 

The lad was different gravy for us, a class act on and off the pitch. Would have him back in a heart beat, the sort of player we are desperatley missing.

 

And unfortunately at least a couple of levels above where we might have been had we taken the chance and invested in players like Josh.

Mind you, he didn't score or assist 20 a season so a few on here put him in the "massively over rated" bracket.

Didn't matter though, Jake Reeves was an even better player. Notts County have themselves a bargain.

 

Jake Reeves showed in his first season here, before his injury, that he could be a very good player at L1 level. He also re-started promisingly on his eventual return from injury (the return that @Fordy117 bet me would never happen). He got worse as the season progressed, which isn't so surprising given the unremitting negativity within the club and reflected in the on field tactics.
But anyone who thinks Reeves is in the same class as, never mind better than, Josh Cullen should take up watching a different sport. Oh for a CM who can read a game, position himself, mark, tackle, pass and retain possession in tight circumstances like Josh can. He's exactly what we currently lack in our midfield. Eliot Watt is one of our best players, but he's a pale imitation of Josh Cullen.

 

Captained Anderlecht the other night and a starting regular. Still quite amusing that some still thought he was an average league 1 player......
