Must admit, that comment from Black wound me up. Too much respect for mediocre league 2 clubs, why?. Let's stick to playing players in their best position and 4-4-2 and take the game to the opposition every week in this poor looking league.

If we had been better at recruitment this summer, especially up front, this league was there for the taking this strange season

That's what I didn't understand why he didn't play Hossanah against Harrogate, not having a go at the lad French but even the formation Stuart went with Monday night why would French get the nod ahead of Hossanah for me on what I've seen of both, Hossanah is the better player

I agree, but which formation is best is anyone's guess.

Best Bolton with 5 3 2 (?), best Stevenage with the diamond, best Mansfield with flat 4 4 2.

That was the best performance of the season, yet we conceded too many chances with Bowery missing two good opportunities, we benefitted from a horrendous error, and the red card made little difference in a positive sense.

Just like with a defeat, it's important not to flip flop all over the place and make ludicrous statements.

Another thought. The four players who gave the ball away so much on Monday, Clarke, Sutton, Saunders and French, didn't play today.

Well Paudie's suspension is done now, and Staunton and Sutton's injuries don't sound serious, and there's no way McCall will leave Clarke out again - so that's 4 probable changes for starters.

It was noticeable when we took the width off and went 3 at the back towards the end we lost impetus and conceded, But well done to all the players they worked their socks off,

Nice to hear link up play mentioned so often today.

Hope we can keep this formation as it seems to suit the players today. Sounds like they were all a 7 and above.

Got to tie Wood down to a new contract asap and keep him playing as a LB which is his best p[position IMO.

Watt is sounding a good capture as is Hosannah.

As a few have already said we can't get too giddy as it sounded like Mansfield were poor today. Would be interested to see how we shape up V Walsall.

Hosannah looked good today, turn of pace, comfortable on the ball, but Mansfield didn't get in our faces and put pressure on our back line, they were a bit one paced.

Could be a big week for us to see just how good or not we are against 2 teams currently above us in the table

Good bounce back from Monday evening. Need to back it up on Tuesday. Can’t complain about a 3-1 away win.

The problem of playing 4-4-2 every match is the lack of wide players unless French and Samuels can make a go of it.

French is said to be pretty fast. Ismail isn't going to play in more than 15/20 ganes this season so we really should be giving French or Samuels a go as well as Dylan

We dont have to stick to 4-4-2 because of one result against admittedly awful opposition but please no more of this diamond rubbish and players clearly playing out of position to try and accommodate this.

I think we might be in a minority at the minute for even contemplating playing anything other than basic 4 4 2.

Our fan base is a bit stuck.

After today's result and performance I'm not sure even Stuart would make wholesale changes to accommodate players coming back from suspension or injuries, normally I would prefer Paudie to BRE but the lad did little wrong today although I thought A O'Connor was the better of the two.once, Watt, Prichard and Cooke all performed well, leave well alone Stuart, a bench of P O'Connor, Hornby, Samuels, French ,Clarke, Sutton,Guthrie isn't bad if required.

Very quiet on here at the moment. Clearly a lot of City fans still in shock at a first league away win in just over a year.

Well those predicting 3 0 defeats are nowhere to be seen at the minute...

The forum meltdown exists only in a distinct lack of traffic after an easy win.

TBF to Stuart, which manager in the last 20 years hasn't tinkered and brought untold brimstone and fire from this forum?
