Being agro with reasonable questions doesn't half build the pressure though. Can't afford a bad result in the next game now because he is going to get all the same questions again.

There are still plenty of free agent options, and loan options out there. He needs an honest, critical look at his squad. We need a centre back, right back, winger and striker. 4 signings. That’s very, very do-able. The players will have the day off tomorrow, he and Kenny need to spend the day having a proper, exhaustive look at who’s out there, getting on the phone, speaking to agents, tapping up their contacts.

I understand that finding a quality striker isn’t easy. But finding a reliable league 2 centre back, a steady right back and maybe a young winger on loan, shouldn’t be rocket science.

 

The thing about wells is he was a class or three above and in a decent organised team, player for player each of these are players are complete garbage versus a Parky league two team, and that alone tells you how far off we are.

Problem for me is if heads start to down we could end up in the bottom half looking over our shoulders, having a goalie for skipper tells you we are lacking leaders.

Rahic going is what dramatically changed my opinion of him.

Before it was R+R, and if both had left the club when we demanded it as a fanbase, great.

But we're not judging R+R anymore, we're judging Stefan Rupp. Had he been unable to rid the club of the MAIN antagonist, fine, I'd have demanded his departure. However he actually dealt with that problem.

He bought himself an extra page, a blank one, on which he alone will be judged.

I've said before on this forum I'm not into people writing things off based on their personal preferences. I've heard it all before - we need wingers (we don't, there are more formations than 4-4-2), we need a big man and a little man (we don't, Liverpool don't have that, it works okay for them), we need this, that, the other - no, that's just what you want to see. You're doing it now with a keeper captain. Manuel Neuer is a keeper captain, want to tell me the issue with that and how it's affecting Bayern and Germany?

Anyway, Nahki was definitely not a class or three above when he came in, he was a nobody who couldn't get game time at Carlisle, he was signed on a pittance based on a recommendation, and the decision to sign him by all accounts wasn't even unanimous. It just paid off, that's all.

If we sign a rookie from a poor club and that rookie has no record, imagine the melt down on here. Nahki Wells is as good a warning shot as any other in the history of this club not to judge things too quickly, yet here we are after one league match collectively panicking.
