I think the important word in your response is 'close' but apparently no cigar.

We were close to making the play-offs last season. we were very close to going up in '88, we were really close to winning the League Cup in 2013, we got really close to winning the Play Off final just 3 years ago, we were so close to a semi-final of the FA Cup 3 or 4 years ago, we got very close ..... but no cigar.

Maybe higher ticket prices gets us over the line. That additional revenue allows for ...that one extra signing, that one player retention, that one extra coach, that better training facilities...and on and on.

Do we really think that the a season ticket isn't worth 200, 250 per season? Really. Bradford is no poorer than cities who charge much more.

Personally I think it is a reflection of the city and why it is the way it is. Everything on the cheap.

Salford - signed strongly, very strongly. Got a good keeper in yesterday. Clarke at the back. Added Gibson for another year. Good side. Poss champions

Tranmere - good signings will want to bounce back at first attempt. Plenty of experience.

port vale - went on a great run in second half of season, in form and kept similar squad. Maybe adding odd one or two.

Bolton - young upcoming manager who plays good football. Signed some good players. May take time to get going but think they will be strong.

Cheltenham - same set up really as last season. Added good experience in Sercombe and Williams. Will be up there

Exeter - see above. Same manager. Very similar squad will be up there.


those are who I’d be looking at if I was having a bet. Not sure if we can come in around play offs. I don’t think so based on what we’ve got so far. Injuries would kill us. Particularly in central midfield

Let me help you before you go wandering down a rabbit hole of trying to argue you're right on something you can never be right on - there won't be 7 teams in the playoffs.

 

OK. But what's the plan for season tickets if we was challenging in league 1.

What if we are on the edge of the promotion places in league 1, Edge of the play offs? Do we hold off until the season is over to make a decision as to when we put season tickets up for sale and at what price? Bit of a gamble I would say if we was to fail in promotion.

That's why we need a clearly thought through strategy regarding season tickets. Let the fans know in advance of pricing, irrespective of outcome.
