Worth remembering with the window this year closes October 5th, a month after the first game back. League cup first round Sept 5th, Mickey Mouse trophy that mid week then first L2 games Sept 12. Including cups there's a good chance we could have played 7 or 8 times by the end of the window. Very good chance for late deals across the leagues if teams have the cap space and notice some areas are lacking.

 

This “mickey mouse” trophy we talk about. If I was the owner/ceo I’d be demanding mccall targets it. We get 20k for being in the trophy and 10k for every win at the group stages. Then 10k a round then on. Good money that if we are as skint as we are led to believe

 

I still wouldnt want to be paying a fee, after whats gone on over the last few weeks and losing Vaughan who most think could have got us goals to then pay a fee would not go down well.

 

20k for being in it, zero for being in first round of FA cup, no crowds, but then who needs money?

Plus for MK surely Agard is on the average salary towards the cap so they have more chance than us?

can't be true - McCall said himself that nobody is paying fees.

 

McCall has been proven to be talking rubbish just recently... He also said hes found it difficult to talk players to drop to legaue 2. This would fit the Agard story.

But he's been stealing a wage at City.

 

McCall says no one's paying fees because if he said we were going to then we'd probably get rinsed more than we usually do.

I don't know why we'd pay a fee for a 30yr old anyway, aging strikers seem to be our downfall. I'd soon rather pay a fee for Roberts from County or Tshimanga from Boreham Wood than pay for a striker who will have no ambition to progress up the leagues and is only here for the wage (Doyle/Vaughan)

 

I agree we need to be looking at the "younger end" not necessarily from non league but someone who sees City as a step up a platform to launch their career
Both Doyle and Vaughan were top strikers in our league the big problem was we didn't have a clue what to do with them

 

If we get Agard could easily be another Aaron McClean. Best days behind him but happy for one more pay day. Had a poor season and I think he will be on the decline. Stay clear Stuart.
