Salary Cap

If this club had any balls we would follow the PFA and stick two fingers up at this 'cap', crack on and make the few quality additions to the squad we need to compete.

 

Good time to start scouting young players who don’t count which I think city are going to do with the players they are interested in from above either loans or permanent

 

Wonder who the first big name will be that we were just about to sign
But can't now

 

And then if it’s upheld face points reduction a risk not worth taking

Just looked at the outline of the salary cap in the T&A and it doesn’t mention incentives for success

 

Were we one of hem?

 

Can you tell me if incentives are included in the salary cap. For instance should a club have an excellent season score a lot of goals keep a lot of clean sheets and gain promotion therefore incurring bonuses for players can they then penalised for breaking the cap

 

Does anyone know which clubs vote for/against this proposal. Would be interesting to see Who voted which way. Or was it a secret ballot.

 

The PFA are certain that the EFL did not abide by it's legal requirement. If true, then it won't be upheld. And the PFA seem to be actively encouraging clubs to ignore the cap whilst the arbitration is ongoing.

 

What irks me is that any club who was forward thinking enough to beat the deadline stand an excellent chance to get promotion (this is a very very weak league) and can start building up a head of steam towards the championship a bit of team strengthening investment from Mr Rupp and he would be looking at an improving return on his investment
As per usual I feel we have "missed the boat" and are destined for a long stay in the khazi league

 

I think your maths is OK. I think someone at the EFL was using a broken abacus.

As there in no change to current contracts, how have the players conditions changed?

 

I think this is a good point. What happens to revenue from cups? Can that be added in somehow?
