    Yes mate I did, the public parking area was blocked, a steel bar across the enterance but no notice of why, I can only assume the players must have been on the back pitch and with resent weather condition it would have been like a bog on the footpath, the only people on the near pitches were "toxophilites".

    Show me a photo of a squad from the 60's and I could probably name most, if not all, of them without hesitation. Show me a picture of the current squad and I would probably struggle with half of them. Why is that I wonder?

    Squads back then remained same for years and probably had a core group of 15/16. Now they change dramatically season by season basis with 25 or so players.

    I’d like to say because they’re shit now, but they were back then as well. I think most people idolise footballers when they’re younger therefore remembering players from that particular era better.
