Wilsden, interesting you mentioned a previous experience. I was relating a story, at school, about the Ripper and how I got stopped loads of times with a girlfriend and how they checked the car, questioned the girl, if we knew each other etc. Got asked by one of my kids how I felt about it and simply said I knew what they were doing and fully understood it, me being stopped was a minor inconvenience in the scheme of things. He said it just not the same here in USA, his friends are well fed up with being stopped.

 

Call me cynical, but it always seems to be specific races of men (often driving a nice vehicle) that are stopped by the police because of these 'drug and firearm markers'.

Anecdotal I know, but I've driven decent company and leased vehicles for 25 years, never had one stop where I've been cuffed and had a taser pointed at me. Can't be due to size as I'm of a similar build to BRE. None of my friends and family (that I know of) have had anything similar either.

Weird how if they believed he was a dangerous individual that the relevant arm of the law wasn't involved too. It's almost like they've concocted their excuse after they discovered that he was semi famous and would be publicising his experience.

really? If so the garage he bought the car from must be totally innocent

 

even stranger then that someone cloned his plates as they usually try avoid personalised plates due to them standing out more

 

Apparently he has a private plate so that would have been put on after purchasing the vehicle from the garage, so can not see how any blame could be attached to the garage

 

Fair enough although it seems bizarre to me, never heard of private number plates being cloned. I’m sure it’ll all come out in the wash.

The alternative is that he has been hanging around with some wrong uns which has led to the market getting placed on his reg plate

 

You’d still think armed police would come in that case. Apparently the previous owner was a footballer as well. It states it happened in June so maybe he hadn’t had the private plates fitted yet, but wondering why the story is only coming out now?
