It all depends on the Head Coach and his preferred formation but I can see us playing wing backs based on what we got at the moment.

Robinson/Chickson on the left and Riley and another on the right. Id take a back 3 of Killa, McGowan and a new CB backed up by Vincelot and NKP (doubt he will leave). Then get a tough tackler in CM with either Wright or Reeves in centre midfield with a new attacking midfielder (backed up by Shay) playing off the two strikers - hopefully both new signings.

We probably need another 5/6 players. McGowan, Reeves and Jones will be like new signings too - I HOPE!!!

 

17 goals in league one is hardly shit is it, who do you really expect us to get? I guess the option is always there to bring back the mighty McLean

 

I would suggest Kilgallon has had a better career than Donaldson and should command higher wages - we managed to entice him.

 

I think they have signed Wright to play attacking midfield. Love to bring Guy back for the tough tackler

 

Maybe so - he is a bit of a utility man so we have options with Wright. If we can find the player he was for Gillingham in 16/17 then we could have a decent signing on our hands.

 

Hardly ITK, but nothing would surprise me.

Burke has been mentioned in a move to Rangers in the Daily Record, but apparently he's failed at Championship level so why would City want him?
Likewise Cullen.
Wages might be an issue too

i think Burke did pretty well at Bolton and Cullen is at least Championship class

 

Not an opinion shared by some here Park.
Burke only started in 22 of the 46 games so was obviously a failure.
Cullen didn't fit the Bolton style at all, must have got neck ache looking up at the ball bypassing the midfield

 

Ah but some of our fans believe playing for the Mighty Bantans is payment enough.

I think his best years are behind him now, Park.
But as an aside ............. I think City released him far too early at the time. Which is a good reason for entertaining the Development squad, IMO.

 

City aren't in the Championship, that's why we'd want him/them but I very much doubt it would ever happen.

 

I think Burke was mismanaged by West Ham - sent him to two struggling sides which isn't good for development - but on the surface he has struggled at Championship level based on what I have seen Wigan and Bolton fans say. Bolton fans had the daggers out for Cullen more than Burke though.

 

Jordy Hiwula was out of our league !!.

 

The reality is, if both or either were to leave it's in City's interests for them to be sold at the highest price possible and take the development money

Neither will leave for peanuts. I read Gerrard wanted Burke but was probably priced out of a move. I am even more surprised West Ham are letting Reece Oxford go.

 

I bet the Charlton & Plymouth fans are gutted.
