Mark Marshall as been told he his free to leave Charlton this summer. Well that went well for him didn't it.

 

Are we definitely in for eaves then or is it just speculation?

 

Id take him back in a heart beat... .

 

I hope so personally but not heard him name mentioned at all to me.

 

Like or loath Marshall his mazey runs got you up out of your seat.
We didn't really have anyone like that after he left the club apart from a few appearances from Robinson who showed he can take defenders on.
Hope we can entice a quality out and out winger to the squad who will excite and deliver.

 

I'd be cautious. Injuries such as the one he sustained can affect attacking midfielders like Marshall until the end of their careers. He was excellent that season and was the success story of Stuart's time in charge. But his struggles under Parkinson before that still stick in the mind. Was that season a one-off?

You'd imagine he'd end up staying south anyway - Gillingham, Southend, Luton?

 

Reading recent posts highlights the varying pros and cons of possible recruits and really emphasises just how important the process of selection is. I think that in the case of youth, which forms our foundations, identifying the right type of fit is critical and the responsibility, on whoever's shoulders, is huge. It's exciting to think we can get this right for the future success of the Club and form our own 'Bantam Babes' to be our bedrock. So, for me, good judgement and shrewd investment on all fronts now, will rekindle the optimism and more importantly, the belief.
