Yes he did then what did he do with the ball? Cant recall him causing us any trouble with his footballing prowess. We let him have the ball for a reason. Tactics.

I didn't see much from Kai to make me think he's going to be on the scoreline very soon. Oppo managers will be telling his centrebacks to get as many fouls as they can from him. I am suprised he wasn't booked when he brought down their player on the edge of our area. It was his fourth foul.

I think Kai got a bit exposed tonight, certainly not an improvement on Thursday.

Players at this level need more than effort; Bruenker does not have the ability, but what we've learned is Wyke benefits more from the presence of a target man that actually playing as one.

Pretty sure Pitman picked it up from one of his passes. Perhaps not on our pitch, but on a decent surface, a CB being allowed that much time and room to pick a pass to his winger will get us into trouble.

I'm not scapegoating, just not agreeing with people that he's the next "big thing" :) He's a very average player who is lucky we have a very average squad that allows him game time.
I do however like the 442 format.

You know nothing about football with that comment mate - The worst post I have seen on here so far.
You should take up Airfix models or summat pal because that statement is complete bullshit.

He is big though. I just wished that the rest of the squad put as much effort and energy into their game since January and we might be in a slightly better league position right now. Sure he is not that talented but at least he tries. And there were other players out there tonight who gave away more fouls than he did for sure.

I dont think he's the next big thing either to be honest but I'm not sure we've sent enough of him to be certain and I think there's little shoots of potential in him. He hasn't exactly come into the squad at the best of times either.

Whatever, it's been a long time coming .. the feel good feeling.Honestly thought we'd lost it this season, but to score three lifts a bit of the gloom for me.Albeit for now, although there is a glimmer of hope after this.

Disagree I thought Wyke had his best game for months. And we restricted a free scoring team to one shot which took a massive deflection I thought they all earned their money tonight

    Spot on.

I agree that none of our four forward players had their best games. Yes they all showed glimpses, but nowhere near effective on the game. The back 4 (and Doyle) were great again, as were the central midfield pairing. But the rest were meh...!

You clearly weren’t at VP then, because their centre backs often dribbled the ball out from the back, especially 2nd half

he isnt the next big thing at all, just an encouraging start, good attitude and a bit of potential if coached properly. and also happy to play 2nd fiddle to charlie which makes developing him more worthwhile

Slightly bemused at the criticism aimed at Brunker. Two decent results in the last 2 games and Wyke looking a bit more like his old self. Obviously not attributing solely to Kai but he's contributed.

Yes he needs to improve parts of his game not least stupid fouls I think a lot of that is down to over enthusiasm but that can be coached. May be a testament to our weak squad but I feel he's our best option at the moment. With Jones not fit and Taylor gone who else could be up front with Wyke?

We've tried playing Wyke up on his own and it's not a system that seems to work for us

Maybe if the others had run around like mad men we would not have only won 3 games this year
