Dam right it is. What a stupid suggestion to let the club fold and somehow start again and get back to the FL with some mystery benefactor who will have to pump £100m into new stadium and training facilities for a club, who historically has spent 70% of their existence in the lower league.
Lives in the same world as you it seems.

 

So the reason games are to be played behind closed doors isn't because of the infection rate. In fact outdoor mass gathering isn't a issue.

Is that they don't trust us before hand, groups in pubs, cars etc.. behaviour issues. This is a government thing not clubs may I add.

The government should help clubs with gates then.

Who said anything about letting the club fold or 9th tier football, or £100m of investment? You're the one who jumped straight to that.

We have no assets, we're now saddled - again - with a directors loan, an owner who doesnt know anything about running football clubs, executives who have no ambition or plan beyond cheap tickets. And said owner has unrealistic expectations over a sale price.

If theres an opportunity to resolve some of our liabilities at lower cost and force genuine change at the top of the club, placing the club for sale at a lower cost, maybe we'd become more attractive to an owner who knows what they're doing. A fresh broom and complete reset of this club is needed.

My post was in response to someone championing the obligation of supporters to 'buy season tickets anyway', to provide the club with revenue. I dont think this current outfit are worth the fans bailing it out.

An administration, at a time where many other clubs will be in crisis too, COULD be a catalyst for the transformational change needed. I'd rather we just got our shit together, but I see no evidence of that happening.

 

So your safe to sit inches away from people in a stadium, for over 90 minutes, but not to be stood at a bigger distance in a pub, that makes lots of sense.
