Still makes no sense. The budget is decreasing with every signing and the new manager has not even had to chance to assess what he’s got.

Maybe not house share but at least he'd have one of his closest friends near by, better than having to start a fresh. You only have to look at Billy Knott as to what can happen.

 

I think he will be all loved up pictures of him in LA on a Stag , his I believe . If so would Mrs Wright want to move up t north.

 

Ok that's a matter of opinion but when have the club ever done anything simple.
Supporters look for answers in the hope they can understand what's going on but it's not been easy since the takeover.
I would like to think they know what they are doing.

How many times does it have to be said that we won't be getting a manager but a head coach instead. Because they are a head coach they don't have much of a say in what players come in as they are expected to work with the players they are given so really it doesn't make a difference if we have a head coach in place at the moment.

 

Solid signing but if we play reeves Wright Robinson and maybe Gibson in a 4 man midfield how small is that of a midfield we would get bullied

I am well aware of the ‘head coach’, thanks. We are league 1 not the premier league. This guy is going to be a fecking footballing genius at this rate.

 

I see what you are saying, but it begs the question of why bother with a boss? Someone must be certain players like this will fit the system the new manager/coach wants to set up with. That is unless they already know what that will be, or some people at the club think they are qualified enough to make these decisions regardless, anyway with no new coach in situ. If i was a prospective manager looking at us i'm not sure if this arrangement would encourage me or put me off tbh. It just seems a bit odd.

 

It's becoming clear that the Head Coach is just another employee.

'Here's your group of players, get us promoted on peanuts, best of luck.'

 

They have very little say in the recruitment process as that is down to the head of recruitment, they'll just offer their opinion. Also as we know what style we want to play we'll get in a head coach who plays that style and is comfortable with coaching it. Doesn't matter what level you are at the principle is still the same in how it works and just needs a coach that knows how to get the best out of a group of player.

 

Piece of piss then this coaching job, I'll get my CV down first thing Wednesday morning.

 

I presume the players being recruited have been vetoed for being bad apples as it were. I know Parkinson was very careful who he brought to the club not to upset the dynamics.

 

Call me old fashioned and set in my ways but give me a normal manager any day, non of this we get the players and you coach them, just does not seem right to me.

 

A quick look on his Wikipedia page got me quite excited. I was less impressed when i started reading about him however. I wish i hadn't now. Apart from one decent season he sounds fairly average.

 

I agree but they say it's the way forward, what I don't understand is why aren't all clubs using this model if it's so successful ?.
