Reds in Leeds is first class , but its set in the hub of the bars and its packed most nights

The Bradford version may as well be in Beirut ... There literally nothing happening round there

I'd wager more happens in Beirut

2 glasses of dry white wine, we had 3 of them in the Punch Tavern, Fleet St today. How much? Try £51:eek: Will not knock Leeds prices again :)

Not sure. I think the original Reds in Leeds had a blip a few years ago but were "saved".

White Swan at Yeadon for lunch today.

Monday is pie and a pint for £10 day..choice of pies.

I opted for Steak n ale pie, mash and veg with a refreshing pint of ice cold Coors

    Very good value

Pie and a pint wouldn't be my last meal but each to his own. I like a pie (who doesn't) but it wouldn't be my death row final meal.

Comfort food that makes me think of home and childhood would be sausage, egg, chips and beans. Dollop of brown sauce. Buttered slice of white to mop up after.

    There's a youtube in this @millario@millario m8.

Mine would be bangers and mash with peas and Bisto gravy. Bisto made with the pea juice.

Last meal on death row? it'd have to be a full English, none of your foreign muck. White bread and tea with two sugars. If i'm gonna fry in that chair i might as well go type two diabetic and enjoy the experience.

Thankfully it wasnt my last meal Hoochy.

My ideal last meal would be one of my late mum's Sunday roasts. Not been biased, but never tasted Yorkshire Puds as good as she used to make. A big crunchy plateful as a starter, not the rubbery type you seem to get served up these days

Square Yorkshire pud with onion gravy is what my nan used to make for starters

Not had it in 35 years since she died

Could stand a fork up in my nan's gravy. Loved mopping up after with a slice of white or 3.

17 of us descended on Grand Cru last night. Fortunately, for all the other diners, we were seated in the private function area.
The food was delicious and they adapted some foods for the children in our party.
    Really nice and helpful staff.
I had the Fillet of Hake, superb.
Our bill was £600, yes pricey but worth it.

    Good stuff.

Like all the decent places I hope they do OK over the next few weeks. That 600 quid will help.
