Don't get me wrong I enjoy a curry, just well down on my list of go to foods. Much prefer fish and chips at Murgatroyds.

 

I love fish & chips too. With mushy peas, obviously.
But being a soft southerner I slather my chips in mayo and tomato ketchup. Gravy and/or so called curry sauce can feck right off.

 

Things you can't educate:

2/ KOP MUTANTS

 

Harsh but fair.

 

Can't beat mushy peas with fish and chips. And silced white bread. None of your poncy brown stuff.

 

I like gravy on my fish and chips every now and then. Mushy peas are the number one though.

Went here today for lunch menu. 3 courses for 18. Thought it was decent. Pub food type menu but if you are over that way it’s worth a go. big portions and great service.

 

I've had many 100's of curries since the late 70's, they'll all been blah gloop, good or bad? I wouldn't have a clue. The profit margins at Shimla and Akbars must be huge and I think many are having their pants pulled down paying good money under a chandelier for post beer gloop.

Remember the Design House in Halifax? The owner, who currently has the Hare & Hounds in Hipperholme, is moving to what was the Royal Eastern in Queensbury.

Fine Dining in Queensbury. Never thought I'd see the day.
