    He was just another bang average League Two footballer and offered little more than Devine or Anderson.

    When he started tinning out of those challenges the other week and was dropped thereafter I expected Bowyer to send him back, especially with the loan quota brimming.

    We haven't on the face of it. It looks as though Rotherham have simply cancelled their contract with Palmer and possibly paid him something into the bargain. That means that the loan with us immediately lapses. He has become a free agent and can sign for whoever he likes.
