Blackpool have signed two central midfielders on loan. Callum Guy has made 7 appearances since signing.

Could he be coming back to our swelling midfield ranks?

 

Guy and Gnanduillet would be my two guesses!

When Bowyer took the latter to Blackpool he said the following:

With Blackpool bringing in Gary Madine as well as best part of a dozen overall, they look ripe for letting a few leave.

 

As much as we don’t like Bowyers tactics, players like Gnanduillet are more suited to it than Doyle

 

Won’t be Gnanduillet he is moving higher

 

Wont be Gnanduillet he's the top scorer there with 15 so far in all comps, wont drop a division. Most likely Delfouneso if they lose a forward, Bowyer signed him too and he hasn't scored a league goal since August.

 

Watching Grimsbys goals the other night Hanson was a compete menace. Without wishing to start the boring “was Hanson any good debate” (despite him being the best target man I’ve seen playing for City) he would thrive under Bowyer tactics.

 

Charlton were looking at Gnanduillet and were going to bid big money even though he has 6 months left on his contract. If we did sign him, this would be a bigger signing than Will Grigg or any big names. If anyone remembers how good he was last season we'd have a real player on our hands. However as above it's more likely to be Delfonso.

 

This is the problem, and why any sane club won't let quality forwards leave.

Grayson is no mug, and he's not going to release Delfuonso unless he knows for certain Gnanduillet is staying - whether the rumours are true about those two or not, that's going to be the case up and down the land.

You don't let reserves go unless you're well stocked and covered, and you know there's no movement elsewhere in your squad.

Not only have we let players go, but we've let KEY players go, and we have no back up plan.

It's ridiculous, as 99% of us have been saying since the stupidity was announced by Parker on Monday. What an absolute shambles. I suppose we might bag SOMEONE tomorrow, but our options are going to be limited - we aren't going to be bagging a good quality goalscorer like we've just given away.

 

Whilst he’s looking in Blackpool he should head down the beach and see if he can pick up another couple of donkeys.

 

I'm a fan of Callum Guy and he'd be a solid permanent signing regardless of our over-stocked midfield situation.

I've no opinion on whether it will happen or not though.

 

Hopefully his distribution has improved but if I recall he liked to tackle something sadly lacking from some of our current midfielders.

Doyle and Vaughan I would think will happen but I believe Cooke and Connolly will still be at the club.

Only if Bowyer is replaced by PdC, I'm sure he'd jump at the chance
