You know, I just noticed his Wikipedia has already been changed to reflect the fact he has scored 3 in 4 since signing from Doncaster

I think it's pretty obvious who edits his own page!

 

He saw a fairly happy crowd applauding the players and tried to wade in almost trying to get some form of acceptance from us, even though he knows most want him gone.

 

Gotta say to the number 29, that his celebration was funny as he gave it large to the main stand.

Did he have a bottle thrown at him?

 

A very good battling performance tonight giving the lie to the accusation Bowyer has lost the dressing room. It also showed what a big miss Donaldson has been to us. Great atmosphere as well the fair weather fans should stay away more often

 

Lose on Saturday and that same P45 waiting for him then?

Donaldson certainly seems to have come to Bowyer's aid. He said the right things to the T&A and has taken the captaincy on in the correct spirit.

Bowyer desperately needs a captain to echo his sentiments, and given that today was a total departure from what we've been seeing tactically and emotionally, Clayton could save Gary's bacon.

But I doubt it.

It was one performance, and the crowd was initially disinterested rather than hostile.

Wonder why someone would throw a bottle, he looked like a kid over-celebrating his first goal for the school team.

I didn't find it that offensive, more embarrassing.

 

We got batter in the second half. It was embarrassing.

Donaldson played well and yeah we have missed him but with our relegation form I doubt Bowyer will be here for much longer unless he wins on Saturday

The atmosphere was very low. One thing I noted as the players came out around myself, was the lack of applause and many sat down, simply looking at phones etc.

Even as the players came towards the Kop, little changed.

 

About what?

Donaldson coming to Bowyer's aid?

Donaldson saying the right things in the press?

Clayton saving Gary's bacon?

Or the crowd being initially disinterested at the start of the game?

Genuinely puzzled.

 

Might have been but he wasn't acting like it had.

 

We 'missed' Donaldson's hold up play, we didn't miss him missing sitters that weren't otherwise falling to Vaughan.

I think the idea we missed Clayton is over-egged, but he was good today.
