Anyone can be sent off and players rarely do it on purpose. The problem is the other recent rubbish results that mean there's no slack when something like tonight happens.

 

Not forgetting we were very lucky to win the penalty and haven't looked like scoring with or without 11 men.

 

It has still been dreadful though even before the sending off, yes Bowyer does have a valid excuse but that still does not paper over the poor performance.

Fair enough, whatever your feelings I couldn’t imagine the messages flowing when we’re all at the game.

 

Flippin eck, give him a break, how can he be match speed with only a few game minutes in months?

 

Whats that got to do with stupidly getting sent off, Donaldson didnt get sent off in his first start for 3 months

We asked for effort and there was no lack of it tonight. In the circumstances a pleasing result

Not wrong though am I? You can try and pretend it was good if you like but if we are relying on dives to get us a goal then we really have hit rock bottom.
I'm glad youre satisfied with a point at home to Cheltenham and the fact the players but a bit more effort in as usual. Some of us have higher standards.

Effort is a minimum requirement. I'm not sure why people talk about players putting in effort like it should be applauded. It's a given that they should put in the effort.

 

Stick to Football Manager my friend, you try and play football for 45+ minutes when your down to 10 men, give your head a shake.

 

Are you on a wind up, that second half performance from 10 City players was brilliant keeping Cheltenham out.

 

And this is the problem. when fans see a poor performance like today as pleasing.. thats how low we have come.. and this is why Rhodes and Bowyer will both be here next season!

 

We usually struggle against 10 men when we have 11 on the pitch Bronco.

 

It is, and with 3 games coming up where we should be looking to get a good points haul, things could look very different after them. Bummer about Devitt. I am still sitting on my Bowyer fence, not read one better, realistic & sensible option for this moment, so let's see where we are in 3 more games time.
