If we were going to get Dennis for the reported fee of £175k with 18 months left in jan we should be looking at paying no more than £120k now with only a year left. Personally for that money I would certainly have him on board but this would be one player the board would be unlikely to get their money back on due to his age unless of course he gets hatful of goals early doors.

Fully agree but if the board have any ambition at all ( which I don't think they have ) they will have to bit the bullet and spend some money on the first team rather than neglecting it for the development squad

He joined chesterfield when they were in league1 from non league and scored 9 goals from January but chesterfield got relegated. When we went in for him in January some chesterfield fans said that he could make the step up to the championship if we got promoted, so he can't be that bad a player.He is very good at holding the ball up and bringing others into play and is a fox in the box.
