Yes - foods quite good (for a cinema). Sweet pepper pizza and a noodle box:yum
Could do with a bit more space between the seats, it’s a bit cosy.

Can you not upgrade to get a seat away from the riff-raff with a bit more space?

Old Glen House - really good pub grub and decent prices too plus and the beer was good. Not been for years for food and we'll definitely be back, dog friendly too.

I really like Ilkley cinema. It's very small, with armchairs and sofas, each with a small table for food and drinks. You can order hot drinks, booze, cakes, pizza etc when you enter and they will bring it to your table before the film starts. You pay a bit extra for the privilege but it's a nice treat.
It's worth noting that it gets booked up quite early so worth checking out the programme online and booking in advance to get a decent seat - ie, near the back. You'll get neck ache in the front seats.

If you are booking online, the seats near the back are the short rows, not the other way round!

Cheers for the review. We've been to the Horsforth one a couple of times. Nice food and very reasonably priced beer and wine, but it just seems to lack something atmosphere wise.
Saturday before Christmas 14 of us went to the Bar and Grill in Leeds. I know its a bit pricey and can sometimes seem a bit corporate (and attracts more than its share of load mouthed yuppy nobs), but we all ate individually off the a la carte and the food was superb. Especially good considering the place was rammed to the gills and when each course came we were all served simultaneously.

It was v quiet on our visit which I just took to be the time of day. Think I might try horsforth as we've got family there.

It is always busy enough, I think its just a bit bare and echo-y. Another new Greek/Turkish restaurant has just opened over the road from it, offshoot of one in Harrogate. Do pop into the Town Street Tavern beforehand for a pint.
There are another 2 newish restaurants (re)opened in Adel too. Another Greek/ Turkish one and an Italian. That makes it I think 5 Greek/Turkish around this bit of Leeds now, all with fairly identical menus. Could do with something new really

    The Crafty Indian, Shipley.

Aspirations of Bundobust but miles away in food and service. Dhaba chicken was good.

Pints of Magic Rock's Highwire are 5.95 - often on in Halifax bars for considerably less.

Called in at the Angel, Topcliffe last night had Gannon, fried egg and fries. Wife had burger and fries. All to notch. No sign of Parky.

been here too. Not too sure on it. Food average at best. Drinks were ok but like you say very pricey.

We got the “Thalis”. Were ok and nothing more.

What was it called before? It is new owners or just a re-brand? I often walk past and think I'll give it a go sometime but everybody I know who's been says it's crap.

£5.95, wow, that must be the most expensive pint in Saltaire! I've paid £5.90 for Salt Alpaca citrus beer in the Salt bar & kitchen, a lot of money must have been spent on that refurb and that beer is flippin ace (& strong), but £5.95 for a pint in a curry house? Nope.:(
