Nothing to do with the quality of the squad? Was Sattelmair adequate backup for Doyle when he was out injured? Did we have another player to chip in with goals when Wyke was struggling for form? Who are the creative players in our midfield?

 

If we do by some miracle get to the Championship in less that 3 years I would be very surprised if we had anything like enough value in the squad to balance the books and stay up.
Player sales as a way of funding is a slow burn and he said he wanted promotion ASAP.

That was mentioned in the first 7 minutes I was surprised he didn't take credit for young Guy, I find it strange that at the forum Greg made the comment Stuart wanted experienced pros bringing in during the January window yet Edin sits there and basically says Warnock was his signing.

Small concern; what Rahic says is true, are defensive IS experienced.

I hope we sign more experience, because of the senior players left, I'd say McGowan, Vincelot, and Doyle are the only players over 28 that are good enough - and I think a fair few posters would tell me where to go with Vincelot as well...

The question which I think he avoided and they did not ask was ‘ did he not think/acknowledge that McCall did a fantastic job for the first half of the season’ He talked about it going downhill, but had no credible answer as to why that happened. Apart from to acknowledge he had injuries and red carded players out of the team. He also said the reaction to his leaving was because he was a ‘legend’ now that is bull shit,

He acknowledged the lack of the fans and club are poles apart and he holds himself as responsible, and he knows that has to be sorted.

I was a little concerned how he only saw the positive side of being in the Championship, if we were in the Championship my phone would never stop with players agents constantly ringing me, the Championship is the 5th biggest for finance, yet no mention that as has been discussed many times on here the cost of sustaining Championship football season on season, that is where Tom & Dom should have pulled him what about the Championship wages these players will expect.
And then his delusional comment with regards footballers wanting to play in-front of 19,000 and be passionate about the club so much so that the wage is secondary because we get loads of scouts attending games and we could be a springboard for their careers, I'll let you into a secret Edin it might be 14,000 next season so you'll have to work extra hard to convince players to come without decent wages.

Well done on getting the interview. I was pleased with aspects of it such as, clarifying that development players aren’t necessarily 18 year old kids, but players who will hopefully be improved by the coach whatever age. I wasn’t convinced by the salary/bonus scheme and fear that we may lose out on prime targets. Not everyone loves City like we do.

Overall I’m more optimistic than I was this morning, but proof will be in pudding. Or should I say in the recruitment.

 

I get stats thrown at me for saying it, but I've no doubt it was McArdle's influence. On the pitch or in training, McArdle adds steel and a tough mentality.

NKP and Killa are far too gentle.

 

I apologise. But to be fair the way things are going we could be going to Coventry as underdogs in the very near future.
