Poleon, Chicksen and NKP are still under contract but they all need shipping off. They’re all fecking shite.

 

I wonder if sykes-kenworthy is going to be number 2 keeper for next season assuming Doyle resigns as number one

I liked Law but it’s the right time for him to leave. I would like to see us transfer list Vincelot, Poleon and NKP.
Wonder who has made this decision? Possibly the new manager has had an input and will be unveiled soon...

I think he should, Doyle is good enough for League 1. And we rejected Everton to keep this lad so they must have seen something in him, if we got a young loanee from the Prem nobody would bat an eye lid, so why not give our own a chance. He'd learn a fair bit of Doyle as well.

And it keeps more budget for outfield players.

 

I am hesitant to agree after last season. Massive impact on our ambitions last year having Doyle injured.

 

McMahon and Law will be difficult to replace.

 

Personally i hope we send him out on loan to a conference or conference north side to get minutes. No use him being sat on the bench all season, young players especially goalkeepers need competitive minutes to be able to grow and develop. You just need to look at someone like Pickford who spent a few years out on loan at various levels and is now looking like being England's number 1 with plenty of improving still to come. I know he spent some time at Stalybridge at the end of this season but not sure how well he did.

Given the standard of our recruitment, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't sign a right back at all, let alone a better one.

 

Intrigued that people are suggesting keeping the likes of Chicksen as back-up.

We're long-stay in austerity central. You really think we'll have enough magic beans to go out and sign better players to keep these guys out of the team?

 

Unfair to compare him to them deadweights imo. This lad has admirers including Prem clubs and coaches in the England youth set up, he's a highly regarded youngster, not some middle aged (in footballing terms) keeper who has never done anything with his career and only been brought in because of the nationality of our owners.

If not he should at least be loaned out for first team experience.

At best I'd bring a loanee in, Parky new the score with keepers, you can get a decent one without breaking the bank. Our budget will be crucial how it's used this season, we can't afford two keepers on Doyles wages who will probably be one of the highest earners now.

 

Would hope to see a few more moved on for fees after this. Flush the system.
