Bowyers quite pee'd off about this one. He came on here to see what he could find out about Hanson before the game. The overwhelming opinion was that he was a carthorse that wasn't good enough with an appalling goal ratio and a 50p head. He thought it was quite safe to leave him at corners. Needless to say he's not really interested on any other advice offered on here.

 

The ball didn't end up in the direction headed it in so the 50p reference is highly accurate. Went to head it on target but it took Henley to put it home for him.

The problem Bowyer has, is the expensive dross that he inherited, and hasn't been able to get rid of, apart from Fordy's favourite Essex boy.

Bowyer did say that it would take more than one transfer window to get his own team in place. The problem he has, is do the fans or owner, have the patience for this. I suspect a lot of fans wont.

If he is going to persist with 433 why did he release Clarke in the summer not saying he was the answer but Doyle is shocking but worse thing is he and Anderson will start Saturday.

 

Billy Clarke, who is out of contract, was there at the game tonight as a fan.

I'd have him in that side in the Doyle role over Doyle in a heartbeart!

 

I think the fans will stay with him if they can see a style of play forming and progress - problem is results not great but the play even worse!

Me too, and frankly I wouldn't cry if he kept his position even if McCartan was fit.

Genuinely would accept Billy Clarke back to play that particular role - he's just not a striker, that's all.

He's absolutely gagging to be offered a deal here. Made the point of Tweeting he had some big cup nights at VP - referencing the same thing Bowyer did in the press - to which none of the current lot seemed to take heed of!

Clarke on a short term contract to the end of the season would make perfect sense unless Bowyer really thinks McCartan is up to it.

I hope Doyle's agent is prostituting him out everywhere before our window shuts. Australia, China, anywhere. Just show them a few clips of his goals from years gone by and hope someone bites the maggot. We need his resource invested elsewhere in this team now, badly. Bugger having a back up striker.

 

No, the fans clearly won't have patience for a rebuild, they aren't interested anymore.
