Shit so far, same as last week

 

Terrible game. No gameplan by us at all. Can't work out what the players have been asked to do.
OD keeping us in it at the moment with a great reflex save. Questionable yellow card for their defender, who appeared to be the last man when fouling Donaldson after about 5 mins.
One good break from Anderson, but that's about it in terms with us getting in their box.
Grimsby had a great period after 15 mins, but its a stalemate now.
I can see them getting one on the breakaway.

Bowyer needs to do his job and go 442 at half time.

 

We badly need to go and get another winger. And go get some pace.
Obviously he wont play Scannell because he doesnt want Gibson on the left.

This system doesnt work at all. A right back at left back cant get forward enough. Mellor never gets forward. Doyle has no creativity. We have no pace.

 

We are crap. Lots of boring negative sideways and back passing. Add sloppy passing to that as well. We look a really poor side. They look creative and will create chances. We are just Awful.

Poor stuff. Even game, but low on quality. Only game two, but the same deficiencies are evident - no width, no pace, no penetration, no control of possession or creativity in the middle of the park.

We don’t yet look anything like a side that should be challenging for top 7, let alone a top 3. A game and a half in and we haven’t looked like scoring a goal.

A need for more quality, and more balanced team selection. What the hell makes Bowyer believe that Doyle can play at number 10 I have no idea. His touch, awareness and link play are awful. Doyle, Anderson, Gibson. None are good enough.

The Bowyer love in needs to stop. Even Simon Parker is having a dig at the tactics. Utter garbage.

 

Crap, we couldn't pass wind.

 

We need to be patient in our recovery and there’s much I like about Bowyer. But his selections in the first 2 games are ridiculous. There’s no balance.

Henley at left back is daft - even more so in this system because your full backs need to provide the width.

Doyle at 10 is ridiculous - he can’t play the role and it forces Vaughan and Donaldson to play way too far apart.

Gibson isn’t good enough and Anderson is definitely not good enough. As the half has gone on, Grimsby have established themselves as being the dominant force without doing much.

We’ve been poor. Very poor.

I wanted better - but where from ? Certainly not from Bowyer.
