    Yeah i think this will the 'Final Rehearsal' before the league gets underway. From what Boywer has said its going to be very close to his first XI. If we do have our first IX out and we win this game ill rest easy for the rest of the season.

    Bowyer in T&A says looking to play as many as possible close to Cambridge team. Thinking of going to this one. Train from Halifax, Wetherspoons in Rochdale, pay on gate, a tenner....

    To be fair though, £12 for Grimsby is fantastic price...yes weather not that good...do you need a carer Rocket from Keighley? Can you get me cheap travel to Hebden?

    Weather up in the Pennines fine at the moment, to the south/east of Rochdale, but if it is decent here it is likely to be the same there.

    I wonder whether any trialists still with us with a last chance to earn a contract. I probably doubt it myself. Can probably see a couple of loanees coming in next month, and that will be it.

    Can't beat a Rochdale awayday. We always go in bar at the ground friendly banter with the locals. Beating them 4 0 last year was the highlight of the season. Really thought we were gonna get out of trouble at that point.

    Fitness more important than result but win would be good for confidence

    Yes, that performance at Rochdale was fantastic to watch. It could have been 8-0, we were so dominant. The high press was working so well at that stage. Absolute madness that Hopkin abandoned it.

    That was one of the, if not the best performance I’ve ever witnessed a City side put on in the league - astonishing given what was served up in the other 90% of games.

    Actually, todays game means a lot to me.
    Beyond training - It's the final opportunity for most players to stake a claim for a shirt at Cambridge, next week. Therefore I would expect to see players going the extra mile to demonstrate this. Secondly, I sense our midfield is far too weak - and this game will (hopefully) prove or dispel my thoughts.
    It may be just a (last) 'friendly' ...... But let's show some intent, and start as we intend to carry on, IMO. :)

    Not raining in Wibsey yet, could be different over the boarder, I agree a beer or two watching the rugby sounds good.
