We should be giving manager's a chance to raise their game and work AT THIS LEVEL, not giving absolute rookies with no knowledge of the club a chance.

    Darren Moore makes sense.

    Craig Bellamy does not.

Paul Cook at Wigan (biggest job to date); Chris Wilder at Sheffield United (biggest job to date); Paul Heckingbottom at Barnsley (promoted from within, academy), every year there is an example of someone stepping up and getting their club promoted, whether they're signed from League Two or non-league or their academy.

What I can't find is an example of "a guy" walking into a club he doesn't know with no experience whatsoever of managing clubs and doing amazingly well.

Wouldn't it be great if a top manager like him just thought fck it. I know i'm good. I've got plenty of coin and i really don't need to work. But i love football, and i know i can make a difference without any money to spend. Hell, i'm bloody bored of London, i fancy a new challenge, a massive one at a lower level. I've heard bradford city need a new boss. I'm willing to forgive the cup exit and the quick free kick at valley parade. Hey, agent!! Get me the number of a man that knows football at this club!!

Derek Adams had managed clubs for 8 years prior to joining Plymouth.

I wouldn't say he had "no experience".

I guess i'm just hoping the current suggestion of a head coach is a joke. Tbh, let them do what they will, past caring now. See how it all works out next season. At least they'll have the bounce from this seasons tremedous effort to fall back on.... fans will be very accomodating

Fully expect this to go the same way as Cellino if they make an appointment as daft, on-par, with Hockaday.

Cellino, for what it's worth, is back in Italy with Brescia.

If they appoint some coach with no experience, I think Rahic will be in charge of someone like Ingolstadt with 24 months.

Paul Cook had his first management job at Southport in the conference and was sacked within the year. His next job was Accrington shortly followed by Chesterfield. Not sure what league they were in but a L1/L2 team took a gamble on him when he has minimal managerial experience.

Darren Moore has next to no managerial experience so not sure how that makes any more sense than Bellamy?

I accept that Heckingbottom worked within the club as a coach but he still had no managerial experience. All I’m saying is that we are a lower league club and therefore the sort of club that rookie managers will often learn their trade. I think Bellamy talks a good talk and wouldn’t be the worst appointment.

    Sorry - a bit late, I know ...... But .........
SW is a little behind CB in terms of coaching, and I personally would take a gamble on CB, as an untried Manager. We've all gotta start somewhere, as they say. ;) Following CB's interview for the Wales job - Many veteran pro footballers felt he was an excellent candidate, with upto date and fresh ideas.
As an aside ........... It'll be interesting to see how Gerrard and Barton, at Rangers and Fleetwood, respectively, work out ? ;)

And yet Rangers are giving 'the Key to the City' to Gerrard ? All but. ;)

    Nice thought
We can only dream about that
Would be nice to think we get an experienced manager if only to give the fans a much needed lift
Look at the effect Gerrard has had at Rangers
