I have some sympathy with @Silverbantam; I remember when we used to play them on a regular basis, and it was always a tough toe to toe affair. I will never forget when Grey took a two footed flying tackle on Watson, it still makes me shudder. It was deliberate in my view, not a misplaced tackle or anything like that. They tapped up Wells, so that didn’t sit easy with me.

Of course they are celebrating and taking the p out of us all over the place. They would not be where they are today without their very rich sugar daddy. Of course we are envious who wouldn’t be.

Not at all but they are part of history nothing I can do or wish to do, I think its a great achievement far harder now than when we were there so I dont begrudge them their sucsess, and I'm not bitter because of the past.

I would like to see another promotion into the Championship before I turn my toes up, alas I may be disapointed under these two owners.

In their defence, they won't turn into superstars overnight! We only signed the vast majority in the last year. Gibson looks like he could be a decent player.

On the plus side, credit where it’s due on keeping us informed of developments. They didn’t have to so well done. Also good to hear the pitch work starts next week. At least that’s one ongoing issue that will finally be resolved. Unless they spring a surprise appointment on us I’m pinning my hopes on Rosler or Alexander getting the job from those currently free.
Of those currently in work that might be realistic targets. I’d be very happy to see Kenny Jackett here. Keith Hill is also a decent shout and as others have mentioned the lad doing a good job down at Lincoln could be worth a look.

 

Rahic for 'head coach', ok we'll be out of the football league in 24 short months, however imagine how entertaining it would be for all watching. Only at Bradford City.

To name a few who were all brought up in a similar conversation with maccall and edin n gregg etc last summer(look how shrews and accys seasons have turned out).
All above pay a decent percentage in to there development side so when players step up in to the first team it not only helps with results and performances on pitch if they get sold on for x amount it then keeps the wheels turning to keep the clubs in a positive financial position.

 

Not if its at the expence of the first team budget bringing young kids into the first team, I really do want us to progress but we've had two seasons of these guys and we've gone backwards.
Like it or not they are alienating fans who have supported the club many years, I'm not talking about the knee jerk merchants but Bradford City fans of many years standing.

 

Accrington have done well with player sales - Pearson, Crooks, Windass etc.

 

Having a strategy is one thing and trying to develop young players to facilitate the clubs future is potentially a good idea but it’s speculative, requires investment in the short term and intelligent implementation. Wherever that investment comes from, either the club’s playing budget or from the owners, it carries risk. If Rahic and Rupp want to take that risk and are convinced it will pay in the medium term they should raise the capital from elsewhere. Or be honest and tell everyone we’re having a couple of years of consolidation and to facilitate their plan.

Having seen how things have panned out this year it’s going to take a lot for me to be convinced they have the ability and general wherewithal to pull it off.

 

We will be fine pal,its time that is needed and i understand football fans want everything here and now but on this occasion with our model going forward theres going to be a lot of lows and highs.im looking forward to it i really am.theres alot of things happening,im sure the club will release this as and when they can but in the mean time try not to knock our beloved club at every oppertunity.cheers.
