    He was 'loaned' to Man U for a short period to play in the 2013 Milk Cup youth tournament when he was about 17. I think that year it was played in Northern Ireland.

    He helped Man U to win the tournament and I think he also won the Golden Boot award.

    Ah ok it was Milk Cup. Our Milk Cup squad always has a few of those. Technically they aren't loaned, they are on 'Work Experience' where they are learning a variety of jobs around the club while also getting to train and play some games at a higher level. As they aren't loaned they can't play in u23/u18 matches which is why United always do it around International Youth Tournaments, usually Milk Cup but also often some of the big youth tournaments in the likes of Holland and Germany. It's easy to forget these players as you see them for about a week and 95% go back to their club.

    The reason given at the time was that Man Utd had entered too many tournaments so their under 18s team were mostly playing in the next tournament up age wise.

    If I remember correctly something to do with a lately organised tour for the ‘first ‘ team

    Getting mixed messages from various people about a sell on fee. A couple of people at the club say we have a 15% sell on ,as do Yorkshire post and T&A ,but journalist Alan Nixon says we have no sell on whatsoever as does the poster whom you mention. Time will tell I suppose.
