    Ched Evans was found not guilty. Why shouldn't he have been welcomed here had we wanted him?

    Joey Barton is just a thug that imo should now be removed from the game permanently.

    Not everything which is legal is ethical. Agree with Barton. He’s had numerous chances. Bye bye. Fleetwood chairman should feel let down the most but should show some balls and sack him today. Act before being forced to act

    I was referring to some fans wanting Steve Evans managing us because he is a bully and would have somehow transformed our weak squad into a side capable of escaping relegation

    And to think some folk make excuses for this dickhead. He should have been booted out of the game long ago. A fan would face the prospect of a lifetime ban and even time behind bars. I’m sure he’ll be treated differently though.

    I agree about business and I’m a realist but I’d like to think that having enough money to buy s football club would allow me to be idealistic. Forest Green chairman is an example

    Barton amuses me no end. great value.

    I must admit I think I was a bit naive, I actually thought Barton was an intelligent bloke and would be a good manager, but it turns out he actually is just a complete nutcase.

    Not sure the two things are mutually exclusive. There are times when you hear him speak and he does come across as intelligent, at least for a footballer but he clearly has a screw loose and needs professional help. Certainly shouldn't be allowed near football again until he has got that help and the treatment has been deemed successful by qualified doctors as you can't go around doing things like this

    12 month Community Service Order (to be served on a Saturday afternoon) and a Football Banning Order! Now that would be reasonable justice!

    Given that on a whole we are totally against inappropriate behaviour in grounds, then that would seem to be evenhanded.

    Sounds like he's been arrested for "a racially aggravated public order offence and racially aggravated assault". I assume he made some sort of reference to him being German.

    Remember having a debate with you before about Barton. I think his autobiography had won you over. For me he is the master of pr but the real Barton - the cigar in the eye Barton is only a few pushes of the button away!
