A Tale Of Two City's

    Just having lunch and watching a bit of Salford City v Maidenhead ! 3-0 to the "Class of 92" inspired Reds. What's pretty clear to me is their a "City" on the rise and very possibly playing us a "City on the fall". As we are they would batter us physically ! They will have the league's top striker in Adam Rooney. Whether they stay NL or go up we need to take him off them ! In fact we should just make them an offer for the whole team because you just know they won't be hanging around in League 2 !. No way should we be out gunned by Salford City ? On the flip side it's a tidy little ground that should suit us down to the ground with a bloody big thump !

    No way we should be outgunned by Salford City? At least two of their players - Rooney and LLoyd - are on £4k per week and they've signed at least half a dozen League 1 players. They're coy about their playing budget but I'd guess it is probably twice Accrington's £1.1m and probably similar ot our target budget at the beginning of last season. On our current form, I'd EXPECT to be outgunned by them and they will likely strengthen again next year.

    last time we bought a supposedly shit hot centre forward pushing the wrong side of 30 it was aaron mclean. Before that it was Michael Boulding so they can keep him for me, unless like Boulding we have to take his relative and we get Wayne

    indeed, but it helps when you can be bankrolled by owners with billions of pounds between them - plus the added glorification of working with / for ‘the class of 92.’
