It doesn’t make an iota of sense not to leave the price at 150 until the day before we kick off next season

Disagree. He’s good now at Sunderland but he was average when he was with us in the first few seasons. Too young and wasn’t ready. He’s got better no doubting it

 

He was no worse than any we brought in since IMO, he left us because Parky was not prepared to offer him a contract on similar terms as his last one with us.
Parky didn't like spending transfer money on goal keepers.
He left us and went to Burton where he made the keeping position his own whilst there helping get Burton promoted to the Championship and helping them stay there, he was only young when at City I agree but certainly had potencial which we should have nurchered as a club, he's since gone on to prove himself, so we'll have to disagree.

 

McLaughlin was okay. not as good as Doyle. who we should not have let go.

 

Jonny Mac wasn’t a half bad keeper but i don’t think anyone was that bothered when he left.

 

"Distant Bums", more like. The sooner we are rid of this lot, the better !

No, I think you will find it was from Barnsley onwards. We had beaten Rochdale and Accrington, rather convincingly.

 

I'd award it to one of the fans ! ..can I nominate the oft vilified and routinely banned Charles Murgayroyd of Belle Dean ? Who for all the club's attempts to exclude him for various indiscretions down the years still ends up as their "poster boy" in a "still-life uber fan pose" reaching to the heavens while getting "pi$$ wet through" in the lower tier of an otherwise deserted Kop !???. #votecharlie
