Ok I honestly don't think Bowyers the right man for us next season ? The right man for us is Steve Evans and he would get my vote even against Stuarts return. But because Rhodes is hanging around we won't get the best man for the job now ! or next season. But if I'm asked to choose between Bowyer or Stuart it's Stuart every single time and the rest !. He failed in League 2 but Stuart (against the tide of the Rahic tsunami) took us to the League 1 Play Off Final never mind the Dog n Gun Play Off Final ! So that arguments put to bed !. When Stuart managed us in the Dog End League last time he was a fresher manager who cared about it so much it nigh on made him ill . His passion commitment and grasp of "Our City" and what it takes is never in doubt. He made mistakes who doesn't? Look Bowyers already making mistakes just three games in an audition that is basically "a free strike" ! In a straight choice Bowyer doesn't measure up. If it was a straight choice between Stuart and Evans or Stuart and Parky then I'm with you if Stuart didn't get it ? But putting Stuart alongside Bowyer it's not a contest!

 

I know but I like having these fantasies; my latest one is that we will win the next two and avoid relegation. I am sick at the moment some virus bug that I have picked up, but I dragged myself out of my sick bed to watch that yesterday!

 

Probably better than living in the present or contemplating the future....

I like to remember Stuart's good times at the club.
Suggesting a return to VP wouldn't sit right with me.

I don't want this club employing on aa sentimental basis or jobs for the boys scenario anymore.

I want someone who will grab this club by the scruff of its neck and sort us out. Make us professional. Create a no nonsense, ruthless streak and eventually take us into the Championship.

It's 15 years since we've been at that level now. In that time Yeovil, Burton, Scunny, Doncaster, Blackpool have all played their trade at that level. Why can't that be us? I'm bored of L1/L2 and sick of the acceptance of mediocrity that pervades all aspects of our club.

Unfortunately that's easier said than done and I don't know who the answer is but we cannot afford to keep looking back.

People suggest Lawrence and Jones as candidates. Based on what?!

Probably the worse thing that could have happened in so many ways.

A) scunny will probably galvanise
B) we go behind on saturday and there will be morons shouting "stuart, stuart, stuart.
C) completely muddies the waters with regards next year. Most seemed happy (upto saturday) that bowyer was ideal for next year
D) 75 width of a post articles explaining why mccall should be the next permanent manager

You one of them? When they're gone you slag them off. When here you're nice to their face?

 

Just give me a call Julian I'll go and pick him up, then again Stefan is still the owner and he was quite happy to see Stuart go after our Wembley appearance, it will be interesting if Julian was saying he could still do a job for us and wanted him back in charge at Valley Parade.

 

How many managers has julian helped to chose as either part owner or acting ceo of city it must be double figures, and how many have been a success? PP alone is the only one i can think

 

I wouldn't be averse to it happening but I'm not sure it would be the right decision.

 

It is seeming already a great call by Rhodes, @Glenn Ackroyd or whoever not to give Bowyer a contract for years and only until the end of the season.

McCall, Moore, Evans, Parky(will soon be), Hurst, Nolan, Kewell all available and no doubt others will be too.

The club needs reset in the summer.
